Till now its not clear about what extra features user will get in this version but it was expected to be something good that users have never experienced before.

You might have already known the previous version of Android OS that you have used before or you are using now. Google has named every Android versions after a sweat treats and also in alphabetical order. So let us see Android versions until date:

You know that until now, Google has named its version after sweat treats, which I have already mentioned earlier in this blog; rumors have already taken place after several names like Android Pumpkin Pie, Android Pecan Pie or something else. For the final name, you have to wait more time.

New features to expect in Android 9.0
As expected from Android developers, after installing Android P on phone, users can get some of the below features mentioned:
- Android P comes with several notifications update where users can get better notifications compared to before
- It increases speed and extend your apps to new ways
- Display cutout APIs
- Multi-camera support and camera supports
- Data cost sensitivity in JobScheduler
- ImageDecoder for drawables and bitmaps
- Autofill framework and security enhancements
- Display cutout support and better accessibility
Apart from these features, this new OS will also help users to stay away from harmful apps, which runs in the background. These background apps can be malicious that can stop camera accessing and mic. However, there is still some time to look for this feature that has anti-theft apps.
If you are familiar with iPhone then you might know that in iOS 11, Apple has come up with HEIC files or HEIF (High Frequency Image format). This one was HEVC version of still image and is one of the latest video codec.
This works by making JPEG images 50 percent less compared to previous size and can store image edits with multiple photos and that too in one click. This feature for Apple also supports transparency and 16-bit color.
But you should also know that HEIC image format is not made by Apple itself and this is where Apple is not unique in his image format. The reason is that Google can also opt for this format. In addition, Google is also working with Alliance for Open Media in its new version, which has the ability to create images almost 15 percent small compared to HEIC.
And using better version is always a good choice but in reality, this project is still in its childhood. In addition, this clearly tells that this version may or may not be ready for Android 9.0. To know whether it will be included or not, you have to wait.
Android P supported phones
You should also know which phones would support this new version of Android. Android 9.0 will support on Pixel, Pixel 2, Pixel XL and Pixel 2 XL. There is a bad news for Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P users because Google is working on some major updates because whatever guarantee it provided to user, now its getting over. Especially for these 2 phones and even Pixel C tablet.
How to install Android P?
However if you want to install Android P then you should know that Developer preview 1 is not a part of Android beta program. Therefore, users have to flash system images on their devices manually. For that, Google has provided system image link for your particular phones.
Also, note that installing such image can delete data from your device and so always create a backup. Manually flashed system images do not receive OTA updates so it is advised to keep your environment up to date.
Well Google is working to improve in its new version so that users can get the best features compared to its previous version. Most importantly, Google is trying to improve the security features, which is done in background. Even there is a button that locks your device after pushing it.
After it is enabled, fingerprint sensor gets disable by pressing power button and after that clicking lockdown. Therefore, all these are some of the interesting features that Android P has. Overall, it seems that OS is perfect and fast and users can really enjoy it.
These are all expected from Android P but still you have to wait and see whether this new version really give the best features that is out now.
