Problem 1: Difficulty In Answering Calls
After updating to Android 10, many users have reported that they were facing problem in answering calls. As per users, the calls were taking minute or two or more to connect even having full network.
Whereas while answering calls, somewhere it takes one to two minutes or even don’t connect at all. Now this is an issue of concern and nobody would love to bear this problem.
Now to handle this kind of issue, there is no setting or so. Therefore, you should once clear out the cache on phone. But if the issue is bigger then don’t worry, Google will surely bring another update that will have the ability to fix the issue, so be alert. As reported by Android Central, many Pixel users have reported that they were facing lengthy installation where their device was stuck on boot screen. This was a lengthy time between 30 minutes to six hours. And more difficult thing is there is no particular model of Pixel devices that this problem is coming through. The first solution to this kind of problem is to sideload the update and then does installing. For more information on sideloading, you can head to Android Developer’s website. Even another thing that users can do is to simply revert back to Android 9 (Pie) and again try to update. In this, users have to boot their device in recovery mode. And if your device does not enter recovery mode then, force reboot several times to boot back to Android 9. And now users can again try to install Android 10. If you see Android 10 features then it has added a gesture based navigation system. It means that Google has added hints to help with transition. But this has troubled many users and has reported about the issue to remove it. Till now there is no way to get rid of the Google Assistant’s hints icon but yes, there is a solution that can help to solve it. You have to turn off hints icon by going to Google Assistant and then move to Home. Repeat this 4-5 times and it will surely help you as the solution has worked for several users. The other solution to this problem is, change the launcher completely to get hints off on your phone because launchers’ developer have not included any new navigation gestures. Generally, all Pixel phones display the time on left corner of status bar. Some may don’t give it importance when we are in Home screen but while we are using any app, this acts as a life saver. Sometimes, this time don’t display and all the issue is due to the app interfering with System UI Tuner. The problem can occurs if you had Nova Launcher previously. So better is to reset the device, simply download launcher that you have previously and reset it settings. Generally, Pixel 2 users have reported that they had come across an issue of inability to switch from eSIM to physical SIM. What happens is when you insert physical SIM to phone then both SIMs are displayed working but after updating to Android 10, only eSIM network is displayed. This is a serious issue for users and it should be solved immediately. A temporary solution was provided by Google to this kind of issue. Simply switch between SIMs manually by dialing code *#*#794824746#*#* on phone. Many Pixel users have reported another issue of sensors not functioning well on Android phone after updating to Android 10. And due to this, some features like Auto-rotation, Auto-brightness, Active edge, Double tap to wake, lift to wake are not functioning properly. Though, this kind of issue can be fixed by factory reset but in this case, the solution is not working. Most Pixel 3XL users are affected by this problem and in fact, other Pixel users have also reported the same issue. Recent report from Google confirmed that the issue was identified and successfully fixed that was causing the sensors to break. However, company reveals that bug was caused by checks that Qualcomm added for Android 10. But finally, it was stated that changes will be rolled soon and all the sensors will work as they were working on Android 9 Pie. Pixel 2XL users have reported that were coming across a problem while making calls via Bluetooth after updating to Android 10. When users have de-paired and re-paired then also the problem was not solved. The solution to this kind of issue is to clear cache memory of Bluetooth app on phone. If your problem is not solved by clearing memory cache then do factory reset of your device. Either you can reset Bluetooth settings on your Android phone. Lastpass is known as one of the most trusted and best used password manager app. Using this app, users can save their password and login details securely and even Lastpass servers also don’t have access to those details. But after updating to Android 10, this app is not running smoothly. Users have reported that the app is crashing continuously on Android devices. The best solution is clearing cache and data of Lastpass app and after that, restart your phone. Though this is not the perfect solution but till now, there is no other way to fix it. Now another problem that users have reported after Android 10 update is Fingerprint Scanner is not working. Previously, I have already stated that users were reporting about sensor problem and this is yet another one problem for Pixel users. Here the solution is to simply restart your Android phone and then see if the issue is resolved or not. If not then perform a factory reset on your phone. But before you do factory reset, ensure to do a backup of all your essential data. Another huge bug that Pixel users have reported after Android 10 update is they were unable to access mobile data on their phones. According to reports, mobile data is not working at all even after toggling ON several times. When you face this kind of issue then to fix, change APN setting on phone. Simply go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Access Point Name. After that, change APNs from ATT WAP to ATT Nextgenphone. NOTE– This is not 100% complete solution abut you can use this solution because many users have followed this process and the problem was fixed. Another new feature known as Adaptive notification is generally used for enhancing notifications but you can simply disable it to avoid any kind of issue further. The best solution about this is to disable notification by going to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Advanced > Special app access. After that, click on Adaptive notifications and choose None. If your useful app notifications are not working then turn off battery optimization as this trick works for certain apps. After turning off, your apps will not sleep and ensures you don’t miss any essential notifications later on.
